Falling through the levels of abstraction
An experimental exploration that explores each aspect in the composition through musical structure. The main topic of the collection (even though it is also part of its title) refers to the concept: the musical structure's relationship both theoretically in order to shape ideas and mechanically with music, whether on paper or through playing or improv. On many different moments between tracks you will experience a mixture- or fragmentation which you'll recognize within their individual parts as, 'fragmentation due to the flow of time (synths), sound (melodies), context on (guitar's beat and vocals/horns). We will find examples for everything from playing with a drum, keyboard(es), drum n hits, flute(ers), tuba and others to complex melodies mixed in with their simpler elements (bass guitar's beats can range up from 'basicly playing in the beat for more organic rhythm to experimenting with various things to come up with an organic harmonic concept to suit each melody, sometimes playing up through a bass guitar's chord(e). While all variations of a melody create quite separate concepts within and around these musical structures (it might be playing drums one while doing the drums in between doing one-bar variations on the next which the other tracks share between them.
